Step 5: Calibration
Objective:
To align the measurement instrument so that its measurement bias is
minimized when compared to some traceable standard.
Process:
Calibrate the instrument according to the manufacturers instructions. 
This should by accomplished prior to performing any measurements
and should be performed by an independent source such as a
Metrology Laboratory.
