Conclusions:
In-house experts can be utilized to develop best
practice on data entry into the regulated acquisition log.
Data entry errors appear to be related to the time spent
entering data.  Inadequate time limits the opportunity to be
thorough, focused and accurate with the entry process.
Training, visual aids, regular feedback and ongoing
process improvement will reduce Type 1 errors and improve
the overall entry process.
Creating supplier and acquisition database
applications would reduce opportunities for both Type 1 &
Type 2 errors.
