Computatational formulas or algorithms are given for each different type of prediction along with simulation examples showing its probabilisitic interpretation. An introduction to the different types of predictions can be found in Section 4.1.3.1. A brief description of prediction versus the other uses of process models is given in Section 4.1.3.
